Eligibility Requirements for PICC Professionals - Advanced Work Packaging / Workface Planning

PICC Level 1 Planner

Technical Track

  • Journeyman Tradesperson (or equivalent) for 3 years minimum
  • Supervisory Experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Accredited AWP Training
  • 80% Minimum marks on PICC Level 1 Exam
  • Re-certification every 3 years

Engineering Track

  • Graduate Engineer or CET
  • 3 years Minimum Field Experience
  • Recommendation from Employer
  • Accredited AWP Training
  • 80% Minimum Marks on PICC Level 1 Exam
  • Re-certification every 3 years

Subject Matter Expert (Geared for individuals with significant Industrial Construction experience but who don't qualify for trade/engineering tracks above)

  • Additional qualifying examination to test Construction Knowledge
  • 5 years Minimum Field Experience (Resume with References)
  • Recommendation from Employer
  • Accredited AWP Training
  • 80% Minimum Marks on PICC Level 1 Exam
  • Re-certification every 3 years

All Tracks

  • Member in Good Standing of the PICC Association of Professional Planners
  • Completion of all required Continuing Education Credits in the Association MERIT Program
  • Re-certification every 3 years

PICC Level 3 Lead

All Tracks

  • Member in Good Standing of the PICC Association of Professional Planners
  • Completion of all required Continuing Education Credits in the Association MERIT Program
  • PICC Level 2 Planner in the Field for 2 years minimum
  • Recommendation from existing PICC Level 3 Lead (Mentorship Program)
  • 80% Minimum marks on PICC Level 3 Exam
  • Recertification every 3 years

Application for Certification of Level 3 is available on your Certified Member Profile.

PICC Level 4 Manager/Auditor/Champion

All Tracks

  • Member in Good Standing of the PICC Association of Professional Planners
  • Completion of all required Continuing Education Credits in the Association MERIT Program
  • PICC Level 3 Lead in the Field for 2 years minimum
  • Recommendation from existing PICC Level 4 Manager (Mentorship Program)
  • 80% Minimum marks on PICC Level 4 Exam
  • Personal Interview with PICC Advancement Committee
  • Recertification every 3 years
